I would like to thank all of the supporters of our campaign.
While the end result was disappointing, I am still deeply proud of what we built together.
Unlike many others in my position, I am fortunate to continue serving the public — today, tomorrow, this year and the next, I will put my uniform back on and returned to the firehouse. My commitment to integrity, hard work, and this community remains as strong as ever.
To every supporter, volunteer, and mentor who poured their heart into this campaign: thank you. Together, we accomplished more than anyone thought possible.
Many of you have reached out asking what's next. One way to stay involved and keep making a difference is to join Northeast Queens Indivisible — a group doing incredible work to build a fairer, more engaged community. They were our biggest champions behind the scenes: showing up at every event, knocking on thousands of doors, hand writing hundreds of postcards, and passing out literature at poll sites across the district.
